Mount Pleasant Track Club
Run Like A Girl books is all about giving back and that started with the Mount Pleasant Track Club.
100% of profits from every book sold through the mptrackclub.com website in November and December of 2021 benefited the club in a form of a Run Like A Girl scholarship to help pay for travel for female athletes to out-of-town meets.
We are proud to have raised $1,000 in sales!

The MPTC Story
Mount Pleasant Track Club is a big part of the reason Turtle was written. Okay, a major part! While we are lucky to have met some amazing female coaches and mentors along the way, no one comes close to the incomparable Coach Tami Dennis.
She started this team in 2003 with 20 athletes. Today, MPTC is a force to be reckoned with. 17 years of consecutive State wins, the team had the third highest number of All-American medal winners in this past 2021 USATF Junior Olympics season.
So, as you turn the pages and read the story, you might recognize some of the characters (spoiler alert: Coach T!) but best of all, you will probably recognize yourself because the members of the fictitious North Point Track Club all represent the same amazing qualities that a MPTC athlete displays: dedication, talent, empathy, and heart.
Go Mount Pleasant!
